“Therefore Jesus said again, ‘Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.’” (John 10:7-9)
In this passage, Jesus presents Himself as the gate for the sheep. He is the only entrance to the safety and security of God’s kingdom. All those who have come before Him, claiming to offer salvation or enlightenment, are merely thieves and robbers. But Jesus is the true and only way to eternal life. As the gate, He offers protection, provision, and freedom to all who enter through Him.
As we reflect on this passage, let us ask ourselves: Have we entered through the gate of Jesus Christ? Have we placed our trust in Him alone for our salvation? Or are we still trying to find our own way to God? Jesus is the only way to eternal life, and He invites us to enter through Him. May we respond to His invitation and find the safety, security, and freedom that only He can provide.
So let us come to Jesus, dear friends, and enter through the gate of salvation. Let us trust in Him alone for our eternal life, and let us experience the provision, protection, and freedom that He offers. May we live as sheep who have entered through the gate, and may we bring glory to our Shepherd, Jesus Christ.
