All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. – John 6:37

A few years ago an Apostle from my church preached a sermon titled “hidden in Christ.” He compared our relationship with Christ to that of a water and a water bottle. Connoting that the bottle gives the water an identity, conformation and security. One cannot desire to consume the water in the bottle without touching the bottle, It is impossible. Likewise, all who follow Christ are like the water, and He is the bottle in whom we dwell. He is our shelter and covering, our protection. The devil cannot consume any of us without going through Christ, who cannot be conquered.

In our verse for today, we find solace in the unwavering promise of Jesus to embrace all who seek Him. The assurance that those who are led to Him by God will never be rejected or snatched from Him resonates deeply with the core of our faith. Jesus is assuring his followers that once they come to Him, they will find everlasting acceptance and refuge in His presence. It speaks to the inclusivity and boundless love that Jesus embodies, offering a beacon of hope and security for all who feel lost or in need of acceptance.

May we carry this message in our hearts, knowing that in Jesus, we find a steadfast refuge, a compassionate guide, and an unwavering source of love. Let us embrace His promise of acceptance and share this message of inclusivity and grace with all we encounter, embodying the spirit of welcome and compassion that Jesus exemplifies.
