If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. – 2 Timothy 2:3

Brothers and sisters, today’s verse assures us about the unchanging nature of God’s faithfulness, even to those who do not believe. It tells us that when our own faith wavers, His faithfulness remains constant and unwavering. In the book of Genesis we learn how Abraham, the father of faith, acted out of faith and laid with his maidservant. Thinking he could help the hand of God fulfill the promise on his life. God, being as faithful, did not take a stand to deny Abraham the promise, although he was faithless. Rather, Abraham goes on to have the promised child with his legitimate wife, Sarah.

This unchanging faithfulness serves as a rock on which we can anchor our souls, providing stability and strength in the midst of life’s challenges. Today, let us understand that God’s faithfulness is not dependent on our faithfulness. His character is unchanging, and His promises are sure. Despite our shortcomings and moments of doubt, He remains true to His word and His nature. This truth invites us to trust in Him wholeheartedly, knowing that His faithfulness is a firm foundation on which we can build our lives. I am here to tell you that even though you falter in your faith, God will remain faithful.

As we navigate the complexities of life, let us hold fast to the assurance of God’s faithfulness. In moments of doubt, let us remember that His love endures forever, and His faithfulness extends beyond our comprehension. May we find solace in the unchanging nature of our faithful God, drawing strength from His unwavering presence in our lives. Let us rest in the comforting truth that even when we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
