My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest – Exodus 33:14

God promised Moses about His presence going with Israel during their journey through the wilderness after their exodus from Egypt. This significant event occurred as the Israelites were on their way to the Promised Land. This promise was crucial because it provided the Israelites with the confidence that they were not alone in their journey. It was a testament to God’s commitment to lead, protect, and provide for His people as they navigated the challenges of the wilderness.

In the sanctuary of God’s presence, we discover a refuge from the chaos of the world. His promise to go with us and grant us rest is a beacon of hope in turbulent times. As we walk in faith, let us embrace the assurance that just as He was with the Israelites, so shall He be with us. His presence is our constant companion, offering us solace and peace in the midst of life’s trials.

Scripture tells us that the steps of a good man or ordered by the Lord. With God promising to go before us, let us surrender our going in and coming out to Him. And let us hold fast to His promise to be with us, guiding our steps and granting us the rest that only He can provide. God’s promise to give us rest is His way of offering comfort and assurance. This rest is not just physical but also spiritual and emotional. It signifies a state of peace and security, knowing that God was with us, guiding and protecting us. This rest is a reflection of God’s grace and His desire for us to trust in His presence and provision, allowing us to find true peace and fulfillment in Him.
