The Source of all Strength

“I will make my people strong; they will worship and obey me.” The LORD has spoken. – Zechariah 10:12

Our scripture for today reminds me of two instances in scripture. First in the book of Daniel, second in Matthew. In the book of Daniel, we witness the awe-inspiring moment when an angel of the Lord appeared to Daniel, overwhelming him with such divine presence that he was struck speechless. Only when the angel touched Daniel’s lips was he able to speak.

Similarly, in the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus imparts teachings on marriage and divorce, emphasizing the sacredness and significance of this union. His words convey a profound truth that not everyone may readily accept or comprehend because its understanding must be given to you.

This underscores the nature of God as our source of strength and everything good. It also signifies that man has no power nor wisdom, except what is given to him from above.

In our verse for today, God is telling us that He will give us strength to overcome weaknesses and obstacles; He will also empower us to worship and be obedient to Him. He is reminding us that true strength and power come from aligning ourselves with Him, our creator and source of life.

He will give us true strength to overcome sicknesses and negative cycles, joblessness, barrenness, stagnation, depravation and all evil vices. That is His promise for you today. He goes on to say that He will empower us to be true worshippers and obedient to Him. Many Christians today have a hard time spending time in prayer, worship, studying scripture or doing the right thing, it is my prayer that God will empower you us to do His will.

Brothers and sisters, may the Lord strengthen you. May He give you dominion over your canal urges that hinder you from becoming a true worshipping and obedient to Him. In Jesus name, Amen.
