I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me – Philippians 4:13

Brothers and Sisters, our verse for today is a profound testament to the unwavering faith and reliance on God’s power. This verse from Philippians 4:13 serves as a beacon of hope and encouragement for all believers, reminding us that our strength comes from the Lord. There are times when we all question ourselves over tasks given us, places assigned for us to go or overwhelming situations. However, by placing our trust in God, we can conquer obstacles, endure hardships, and achieve great things beyond our own capabilities.

We can all draw inspiration from the story of Moses, a humble servant of God who questioned his own abilities when faced with the daunting task of speaking to Pharaoh to let the Israelites go. “Moses said to the Lord, “Since my words stumble, will Pharaoh heed me?” – Exodus 6:30. His concern about his speech impediment reflected a moment of doubt and insecurity. Despite this, Moses ultimately found strength and courage in his faith in the Lord.

In our own lives, we often encounter situations where we feel inadequate or unsure of our abilities. Just like Moses, we may question whether we have what it takes to fulfill a particular task or calling. However, it is essential to remember that God equips those He calls. In Joel 3:10, scripture encourages us to “beat our plowshares into swords and our pruning hooks into spears, let the weak say I am strong.” This sends a powerful message that with God on our side, we can say with courage that we are strong and enough for whatever He has in store for us, even if our inadequacies points otherwise.

Let us trust in His plan for our lives, knowing that He can use even our weaknesses for His glory. May we, like Moses, find the courage to step out in faith, knowing that God will provide the strength and words we need to fulfill His purpose.
