“O Lord, be gracious to us; we wait for you. Be our arm every morning, our salvation in the time of trouble.” – Isaiah 33:2
In our verse for today, we see Prophet Isaiah make this plea to God for His grace and salvation. He acknowledges our dependence on Him and our trust in Him to be our source of strength and deliverance, especially during challenging times. The verse is a reminder to patiently wait for God’s help and to have faith in His unfailing love and power.
Today, we shall follow the footsteps of the prophet and make a plea to God as well. We are praying God will be gracious to us. We pray that He shows us kindness, mercy, and favor even when we don’t deserve it. His grace is a gift that we receive freely, not because of anything we have done, but because of His love for us. It’s a beautiful expression of His unending love and forgiveness, and it reminds us that we can always turn to Him for help and acceptance. God’s grace is a source of comfort, hope, and transformation in our lives.
We pray that God will be our arm. We submit that we rely on Him for strength, support, and protection. Just as an arm helps us to accomplish tasks and overcome obstacles, we trust that God will be our source of help and guidance in every situation. He is the one who empowers us and fights on our behalf. We depend on His mighty power and provision, in Jesus name, Amen.
