And we know that in all things God works together for the good of those who love the Lord, those who have been called according to his purpose. – Romans 8:28

As a Christian nothing works against you. Everything that happens in your life is working together for your good. The scarcity, the betrayal, the illness, mistakes, failures and missteps are all working in your favor because we serve a God that is capable of turning negative situations into positive ones.

When Joseph was finally reunited with his brothers in Egypt and they were soaking themselves up in regret and remorse, he said to them not to worry and that although they meant evil for him, God turned their betrayal into a blessing. Apostle Paul could not capture that idea more succinctly than he did in our verse for today – All things work together for the GOOD of those who love the Lord, those who have been called according to His purpose and are living to please Him.

What a wonderful assurance that is. I am stepping out with this mindset, not worrying about the negative things that happened or is happening in my life because the Lord has given me a blessed assurance that all things are working for my good. So like Joseph, the devil might mean every mishap in my life to take me out, but I know my Lord will turn it to a stepping stone for me into my next level.

I pray that we all receive the grace to fully grasp this assurance and walk in this light. This is the word of God. Amen.
